DETAILS This only applies to one animal per purchase. This does not limit the other alpacas in a purchase of two or more from being discounted for package prices or discounted breedings that are purchased with the package. Larger packages may be applied to more than one trade in depending on the value of the package. This also applies to purchases of herdsires and in some cases leasing. We require you have the trade-in alpaca pass a veterinary check and we also request a fertility guarantee from you. A male must have live motile healthy sperm. A female must be able to produce a live cria. Of course alpacas that arrive with any infections, ill health, severely under weight, parasites or skin conditions will not be accepted. You can only trade a female for the purchase of a female. You can trade a female or a herdsire for a herdsire that you buy. The trade-in applies to all alpacas we have for sale from $5000 and up. The most for a trade in is $6000. The trade-in amount is essentially 25% of the cost of the alpaca you purchase. An example. You buy Honey for $10,000. If you are buying on terms you put 25% down, we offer the next 25% as the trade-in for your good old faithfull Petal Pie...and then the balance is paid off over time. Your choice of the term up to four years. You save $2500. The purchase of a $24,000 female saves $6000!!! The maximum trade-in value is $6000. The purchase must be contracted and the vet report received by Pucara before delivery of the trade-in alpaca. All transport and vet costs are the buyers responsibility including any trade-ins that have to be returned. Pucara deservedly reserves the right to decline the alpaca being traded in.
