Snowmass Genetics at Pucara International Don and Julie at Snowmass Alpacas have created what we believe is the highest quality huacaya herd in the world. You only had to see the recession defying results at their Phoenix Making of Champions auction in February for confirmation of how it is regarded. It culminated in Snowmass Matrix achieving $675,000!!! We are happy the industry has acknowledged the excellence that Snowmass has achieved not only because we are good friends but also because we did have some input into the foundation genetics Don and Julie used. Jude chose in the 3P import with Don and Alan selected in the 4P shipment where amongst others he selected 4P Legacy. We also co-owned males that had significant contributions to their program like Peruvian Hemingway, Peruvian Drambuie and Peruvian Don Julio. Enough of trying to steal their glory!
