The Stud Male leasing program is timed perfectly for the current US alpaca industry. Imagine having stud male herdsires on your farm that might normally cost a small fortune to buy. Imagine proven show winning genetics huacaya and/or suri that you can share with partnering farms or sell breedings to your neighboring alpaca breeders. They come in many colors. They are yours for 12 months or a full breeding season. Unlimited use. For just A PITTANCE OF WHAT YOU WOULD PAY TO OWN ONE. Or for as little as $3000-$15000 for a single male. Now, that’s a recession breaker!

We will accept  a lease from one or more farms in partnership as long as one farm acts as manager and houses the stud male.

Jude and Al at Pucara International are leasing out individual and groups of huacaya, suri and combinations of both breeds to farms all across the country. The huacaya mostly come from the dominant show winning huacaya lines of Snowmass Alpacas. The suris come mostly from the award winning suri program at Pucara International. These are proven prepotent genetics. And just think, you can do it all again the next year with a different group of boys. Or you can purchase the boys you leased less the cost of the lease!

Both the huacaya and suri propgrams have reserves of quality herdsires that are as good as many in the country. This is the chance to use exactly the same genetics that have driven their breeding programs to the top. This lease program alleviates you from the commitment to expensive purchases that you have to be dedicated to because you purchased them for so much. If you just think that this leasing is also a straight up tax deduction then it doesn’t take very many sold breedings to cover the balance of your purchase and probably make a handsome profit. And because you pay so little for access to these top males then you can sell breedings cheaply to cover your cost. It’s a no brainer.

Pucara International guarantees the fertility of these males. Potential leasees should be happy to know Pucara will replace a male if he proves to be infertile. The males before they leave the Pucara farm will be tested for their ability to work.

 

There is a catch or two. You’ll have to insure the males for loss of life and fertility with Pucara International as the co-beneficiary. You’ll have to guarantee the welfare of the stud males. They are to reside only at the farm who leases them. Pucara International gets a $100 fee for every outside breeding including pro-rata to co-owned animals.

 

Jude and Al are thinking that’s very limited responsibility for the chance to lift your quality of production, to make some money, to brand yourself as discerning alpaca breeders with access to the best breeding programs in the country, all for very little money. Right now many breeders country wide are afraid to breed their females, or simply cannot afford to buy outside breedings or at the very least buy stud males. If they are breeding often they are breeding to unproven or unimproved genetics. Here is a chance to step in front when others find nothing but misery around them.
