We were smitten with Kahuna from the day he was born. Besides having one of those special personalities he had everything we would have hoped for when we considered the breeding that produced him. He's a strongly framed male with deep jowls and an alert proud head. He is dense, very dense and carries a bright greasy luster right through his fleece, from neck to toe. His pencilling is accentuated and although at seven years of age he was no longer fine his micron of 26 wasn't too shabby! We didn't show Kahuna when he was young because at that time Australian judges were not appreciating that " Accoyo " style but when he was five years old we have shown him with him consistently placing high against all the "young guns" in Australia. He is now in the US.

But we knew enough about suris, and especially ours, to know he was special. Thus he has become one of our premier herdsires producing unbelievable babies like Pucara Kallina purchased by Ann and Bill from Coldwater Creek in Michigan....Kallina is one of our best ever! And Pucara Hanapepe the 2008 Futurity and AOBA National Champion. So why were we so sure about this boy? Because he has exquisite parentage! His dam is Halona Happy Fortune Accoyo, our best. Every one of her cria have been champions bar one, all her male cria became herdsires.

The father of Kahuna is Accoyo Amador who Don Julio Bareeda when last in the US used as the "perfect " example of a suri herdsire. Amador was an important foundation herdsire for our Aussie show team. Look at Kahuna's progeny...genetics don't lie!

In 2007 our Kahuna progeny at four shows won 12 first place ribbons, 12 second place, 11 third ribbons,

2 fourth, 4 fifth and 3 sixth place ribbons. They also won two Get of Sire', one reserve championship and three championships!

In 2008 Kahuna kids won every performance class they were entered into at the AOBA Nationals. They placed 1st, 2nd and third in Bred and Owned Males. First in Bred and Owned Females. First in Breeders Best Three and then went on to take out the Get of Sire with a different group. They also won White Male Champion and Reserve White female Champion. His offspring also won championships at the AWE show in Portland Oregon and the 2008 Futurity where Pucara Kahuna was Reserve Light Herdsire of the Year.

In 2009 Kahuna did it all again. A remarkable feat considering the quality suri breeders are putting out there every year now. He won the Futurity Light Herdsire of the Year, his kids won the Nationals Get of Sire and something like eight Kahuna kids were in the white championship line ups of which one won the female championship and one won the reserve male championship. At our local CABA show Kahuna kids won every progeny class they were entered in.

As of May 5, 2010 Kahuna is unbeaten in Get classes in three shows including the Futurity. He was also named Futurity Light herdsire of the year, again, following on from his win in 2009. Kahuna kids on our 2010 show team and several others have won championships across the nation. Our show team kahuna whites have stormed those classes. At two shows we won both male and female white championships plus the Reserves. At the Futurity they won female white and reserve championship and male champion. At the NWAS show we won every championship our show team kids were in!!!

Kahuna breedings are no longer available to the public but his sons like Hanapepe and Herradurra are and we have many daughters and sons for sale.

But we have not got all our eggs in the one basket! Check out Valleto and Chachapoya both full Accoyo white suri males, and Chakotah whose cria in 2010 we believe are even better than Kahuna's cria. Chakotah is producing both white and colored offspring. Already mnay of them are winning champion ships. He has placed twice in third spot now in Get classes that Kahuna has won.
