This is any suri and huacaya breeders dream sale. This event represents the convergence of America's best suri and huacaya genetics.

There is something for every alpaca breeder at every level.  Seminars. Workshops. Fashion and fun. Featuring a traditional auction of approx. 30 Select Preferred huacaya and suri . To be followed by a Premium Reserve pen sale of 40 plus lots...thats right, reserves are published and you have all day to post your bids. Reserves start at $5000! There will be phone and internet bidding.

Snowmass Alpacas have agreed to put a strong contingent of their best huacayas into the event. They have dominated the huacaya show ring with champion upon champion at the toughest shows like the Futurity and Nationals. Just this February at their annual Making Of Champions auction they again set world records with the sale of Snowmass Matrix for $675,000. They averaged approx. $30,000 over 77 lots defying the economic recession. Pucara and their partners will also include several choice huacaya whose lineage is based on the famous Snowmass lines.

Likewise PureSuri Breeding Company ( Jack and Kelly Armstrong who we believe were the best suri breeders by far in the US until selling their herd last year) absolutely dominated the suri show scene for years. The Armstrongs now co-own with Pucara International several white stud females together which have produced champion after champion at the big shows. They have several lots in the auction.

Stonebrook Farm have been prevailing victorious time and again in the colored classes at the toughest shows in the country, producing many Futurity and National champions and Best in Shows like Semejanzo's Clarion SBFS. You only have to look at the 2008 and 2009 show results to see their colored program is awesome. Pucara now own half that herd with Stonebrook and several of their very best will be in the auction. Purely Suri, Stonebrook and Pucara make up Suri Central, essentially a one stop suri shop!!

Last and hopefully not least is us, Pucara International. We feel like we are in Candy land. We now co-own the two of the best suri herds in the US. We also have our own stellar crew of suris. At the Nationals in 2009 Stonebrook had 13 colored suris in the championship line ups. We had eleven white suris in the championship line ups.

Ok, so what of it? The best of these will be available at the Premium Reserve Auction. Snowmass, Pucara and Suri Central have vouched this will be the best quality combined breed auction EVER HELD!!

But we have more for you. Often its a mind bending experience assesssing auction and pen lots for even experienced buyers. We are excited to announce that Amanda Vandenbosch of Flying Dutchman Alpacas, in our estimate one of the world's best alpaca judges, will assist you in grading for potential purchase any alpaca you need help with assesssing. There is no cost. We guarantee Amanda will give you objective and unbiased opinion in her assesment.

Importanly this is an event celebrating the alpaca and our 20 years of farming alpacas. Most importantly it is in appreciation of our clients.  Several of them like Steve and Laura from Buzz'nHumm will be making their best available.

WE ARE STOKED because we have two outstanding speakers. Firstly Julienne Gelber of Bumble Hill Alpacas, a suri breeder from Australia, is coming all the way over from down under to show us her exclusive line of suris that she has bred specifically for an end product that she has developed and manufactured. The suris are to die for. The product is gorgeous. We do not know of a more informed fiber expert that farms suris.

But just wait. Our other key note speaker is Julie Skinner (Otis) who with husband Don built up and owns what we believe to be the best huacaya herd in the world, Snowmass Alpacas.   This is the first time in fifteen years that Julie has agreed to talk publicly after having had so many requests. It will be her story of how she and Don have developed a super elite huacaya breeding program dominating the show ring and which is based on production for textile use.

So, are you worried by buying at auction. Too much stress. You want an expert opinion. NO NEED TO WORRY. There will be access to experienced unbiased alpaca judges Amanda Vanden Bosch and Cheryl Ghely to help you make objective buying decisions. Well we can't say for perceptions sake that Jude Anderson will be unbiased but she also will assit potential buyers with objective help if they would like her help. After all she knows her alpacas! Jude, Amada and Cheryl will help you personally at the event and are also available for comment either over the phone  or by internet. A real plus for novices to auctions will  be a workshop on how to buy discerningly at auction run by well known breeder Deb Hill of Cloud Dancer Alpacas. Deb will give the participants a priviliged first look at the pen reserve alpacas before they are put to sale.

And what better way to be in the Willamette Valley than to partake in the splendid regional wines and cuisine. There will be no shortage and our Brazilian Capoeira martial arts, music and dance troupe will rock your socks. How about a classical tenor who will fill your heart with passion? It's all happening baby! Saturday night a rock and blues band, will keep you grooving or perhaps you'll just want to get on our complimentary  bus that will take you to the Spirit Mountain Casino 20 minutes down the road!
