Crikeys, did we have a great turn out and fun time last year or what?

2011: A DIFFERENT STYLE...LESS STRESS, BETTER CHOICE!
THERE WILL BE NO PRINTED CATALOG
NO ONLINE COVERAGE......YOU CAN BID BY PHONE
For 2011 we've decided to turn down the extravagance without deleting the fun! After much hard thought
and watching the industry this year we just did not feel comfortable running a full blown auction. There are more new auctions than ever and frankly we thought the industry could do with one less and so could our stomach linings! In fact the response we got from last year's PPR was that breeders really enjoyed the lower stress pen sale/auction more than the traditional auction.
We very nearly did not have an event but the overwhelming encouragement from fellow breeders who enjoyed last year so much or heard about it but had missed the fun has us rethinking the formula.
You hear it every where. Buy from our auction, these are our best. BUT REALLY, are they?
EVERY AVAILABLE MEMBER OF OUR 2011 SHOW TEAM WHICH CREAMED IT THIS YEAR IS ON OFFER AT THIS PEN SALE.
Cria we have chosen for our 2012 show team are also for sale at this event!
We have huacaya females with five generations of Snowmass breeding behind them. We are selling four of our Snowmass Stud males!!
We cannot offer anything better!
DO NOT MISS JUDE'S SEMINAR ON EMBRYO TRANSFER SATURDAY MORNING
It seems like there are lots of experts here in the US who are ready to bestow negative opinions on ET BUT none of them have any experience even the vets have not mastered it. Jude started doing ET on our Aussie farm in 2002. We were at the forefront of its development. Come and get the take from breeders who have used this process and how it can lift your breeding program without any extra expense and without hurting any alpacas! We'll explain how now its more important than ever to use. How it will help small breeders.
For the PPR in 2011 we'll be having 65 or so lots of huacaya and suri including our 2011 show team and cria and/or dams from our 2012 show team. Bidding will start on ALL LOTS 10.00am Saturday. Stud males from our Snowmass herdsire stable will also be for sale along with many of their progeny, some with five generations of Snowmass breeding. Jude and I with lots of other help from alpaca experts will assist you make discerning choices in a relaxed environment.

NO WEBCAST
Sunday we'll feature our huacaya and suri stud males and you'll be able to review progeny of each boy. Many of these will be for sale. Bidding remains open on the dams with cria on Sunday.
The idea is that we will post our lowest reserve price on each animal. These will be reasonable. You can see each reserve on the individual animals webpage. That will be posted also on each pen on the day. Buyers will go to a centrally located bidders board to place a bid at any time during the viewing time. Minimum bids are $250. The first bid at the reserve price will buy the alpaca unless there is a higher bid. Each lot will take two minutes to close in succession from 4.00pm Saturday and for the dam and or cria 1pm Sunday. That means if you miss an animal you can go to your next choice without losing the opportunity to bid.
It's simple.
ANY ALPACA IN THE SALE CAN BE PURCHASED WITH THE EARLY PURCHASE BID OPPORTUNITY. AT 2.00PM ON SATURDAY AND 11.00AM SUNDAY ANY BID $2000 MORE THAN THE CURRENT BID OR THE POSTED RESERVE WILL BUY THE ALPACA!
We'll be providing a hearty lunch on Saturday and a BBQ style dinner that night with a chance to kick back around the fire pit and talk story and listen to great music! On Sunday we'll have coffee and pastries for breakfast. There will be an open bar!
Sam our good mate from McMinnville will provide live folksy music throughout the event with his trio. If you like opera get him to serenade you with his incredible voice!!
