Transport Offer for Breeding Females.

If transport costs are stopping you from breeding to our our world class stable of huacaya and suri herdsires, we can help. As of next breeding season starting early Spring we will pick your girls up. We have just acquired a state of the art trailer, 32' x 8', some four to eight feet longer than the norm. That way have plenty of room for your moms and cria. It has plenty of ventilation, air conditioning, a sleeping quarters so our drivers get plenty of rest and it is easily partitioned off.

How it works is that we will estimate the cost of a trip depending where pick ups are. We will co-ordinate pickup areas, in some cases you may have to drive to such an area if you are out of the loop a little, and will return the girls once they are bred.

We estimate that you will save 50-60% of your transport costs. We will give an estimate before the girls travel. This is a big advantage to you and here's why;

1. You have minimal transport costs in quality equipment with an experienced alpaca breeder driving.

2. This then gives you access to elite level genetics that probably are not in your area. For example, are you in the North East? Ask yourself how much quality Snowmass huacaya genetics are in your area? In the way of suris have you got the herdsires near you that make National Champions with the genetics we have? And our genetics are relatively new in the suris.

3. You will get the same discounts that we have offered all along for single and group breedings. We can if you like adjust the breeding fee to take into account the transport costs. Veterinary travel requirements are your responsibility. We also want these females to have fecal tests and treatment prior to arriving here at Pucara.

4. If you take up the offer and organize other breeders to use this program, we will offer a free breeding for every group of four females bred. You can take that discount yourself or pass it on as a discount to your friends.

5. We guarantee the quality of on farm management here. We take great care in quarantining your girls well being making sure there is biosecurity and supervision.

6. We have nearly 20 years of camelid experience with on farm ultrasounding facilities and three very experienced alpaca vets ranging from 10 to 45 mintutes away. The well known OSU Veterinary College is one hour West of us. In case of ill health we have the facilities and experts close by to assist.

7.All agistment and breeding costs are included in your breeding fee. Now that includes transport if you wish, board, shots, worming and everyday care. Ultrasounds are included as are pre breeding exams that we conduct.
