It's been almost 20 years now of alpaca farming. How time flies when you're having fun! We'd like to celebrate with you by introducing some incredible offers for those of you buying alpacas. Everything from winning a free female to managing a herd at no purchase cost on your farm are included in these offers. Please note, ss it has always been with us all these deals come with industry leading standards for service, communication, guarantees and mentoring.
We started with just five alpacas in late 1990 purchased with every cent we had. Here we are now with an alpaca farm both here in the US and in Australia. We didn't get here by ignoring our clients. Their deeds put us here! In honor of these loyal customers we are also initiating a customer VIP program called "Thrivers". It is a program guided by our appreciation to clients for their support that includes special considerations all year long. It's like flyer points but far more inclusive. All our customers will be members that not only rewards them for supporting us but also for showing alpacas from our genetics. Everything from discounts on breedings to discounts on alpacas purchased will apply, especially at our new annual event to be run here on the farm in Oregon starting next year.

FREE FEMALE OFFER FINISHED Every month we are giving away a female alpaca to a very lucky customer. It could be anybody who purchased an alpaca off us in that month. The catch is that we will have to have sold five female alpacas that month total. We'll draw the winner out of a hat. If for that month we didn't sell five alpacas you'll go into the next month's drawing. Click here for a link to the female of the month. Oh, we know, why so cheap you ask. We are a farm of over 500 alpacas now. We only have so much pasture. Before the recession this style of female may have sold from between $10,000 and $20,000 We need room. We can sell them cheaply because we have so many. Please remember, these are not clunkers! All our guarantees and reknown service and mentoring goes with each female. In fact if you buy sight unseen over the web but you don't think they reflect what we said about them when they are delivered we'll replace them. Of course that is within reason. We are not going to be party to alpacas being transported across the nation and being rejected just because it was a frivilous buying decision. All buyers of any females, as well as anyone purchasing packages of breedings can attend any of our on farm seminars at no charge and like wise any seminar attendee can credit the on farm seminar fee against any purchase of alpacas or a breeding. LEASING: Suri and huacaya |
For just $2,000 to $4,000 you can lease a female alpaca until they have one cria. They can be taken home if you insure them and you can manage them until they have their cria. You get to keep the cria. We get the female back. The female will have to be returned for breeding to one of our boys within two months of the birthing meaning the cria would have to come with her until she is bred and they are weaned. You just may want to leave them with us in the first place to avoid the transport costs. Now we are mindful of you wanting to manage the birth and spending time with the cria so you could also lease a male from us if you want to lease the female for another year...or buy the girls with a credit from the leasing!! Seminars |
Our seminars have been immensely influential in forming and changing alpaca breeders philsophies to raising alpacas. If you attend a seminar on farm your seminar fee will be credited against any purchase at Pucara including breedings. And if you have purchased alpacas or breedings in a package from us your seminar fee will be waived. We highly recommend you do this in conjunction with your purchase.

Here is a chance to take possession of a group of alpacas at no purchase cost! Sounds crazy doesn't it!!! There will be stringent guidelines attached to this scenario essentially regarding your ability to look after the said animals. In essence we select a group of female alpacas that go to your farm for you to manage, breed and keep healthy. YOU GET HALF ONWERSHIP IN THE CRIA THAT ARE BORN. We'll encourage you to show the cria, market and sell any of the herd including cria, do what a normal alpaca farmer would do but all expenses are yours. Income from sales or breeding of any of these alpacas are shared equally between us and you. All cria are registered with Pucara and the managing farm as co-owners. This is an enormous deal with someone with alpaca or livestock experience wanting to get into our genetics and increasing herd numbers in a hurry. | Stud male leasing program | If you need a stud male but can't afford a big purchase that it often takes to get the good ones try our leasing program. We have superb huacaya and suri stud males here that are as good as most in the country waiting to come to work for you. If you go to the "Thrive Stud Male Leasing Program" many of these males can now be leased annaully for as little as $3-5,000. Click here for the Thrive program but you'll need to talk to Alan about which males can be chosen individually and how much they are.
