Jude and I are really excited about this new adventure. We have for a long time been concerned for breeders who cannot afford to purchase worthwhile breedings. As I write more alpacas are being born. There is more competition and if these breeders want to be able to compete in the market place without dropping prices they need to be able to breed better alpacas than their neighbours. The trouble is we often see breeders who have invested everything into the alpacas and have nothing left for breeding. Consequetly they use a less than desirable boy that they have bred themselves or they buy a cheap herdsire that possibly will not have the prepotence required for a herdsire.

Here is a chance to join in part ownership with ourselves and other breeders of five herdsires that we believe will pass on desirable traits of fiber and conformation. There is two suri hersires and three huacaya herdsires in this stable.This will cost just $12,000 for a two year period. There will be another stable put together over the next six months to give options.

Just think about the savings. If you own just 5 female alpacas each breeding will cost only $1200 because you will be doing 10 breedings over the two year period. If you own ten females it is just $600 each to breed to herdsires Jude has given the nod of approval.

This program will work like a lease therefore we think it is totally deductible. Breedings have to be done here on the farm because we do not want the herdsires being driven all over the country and being exposed to all those different environments. A huge advantage to this will be our assitance in choosing the herdsires to match your females and if you wish you can be included in our Alpaca Gain Program
